Have you ever felt like Indian Jones, Mad Max and a Harijuku girl, all at the same time? That is exactly how I felt when I modeled for the A Team last Sunday. It brought out this whole other side of me, this character in a mystical fantasy. Thanks to Amelia, the costume really brought that fictitious persona to life.
THE STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE
“Welcome to the ice age. Tara and her companion, Maya, are some of the few survivors.
A cave within the mountain has served as their shelter for weeks now. Food storage is depleting and each day becomes colder. They are setting out on their journey to find food, warmth, and perhaps other survivors.”
– The A Team
I love Maya! She totally cooperated with all of us during the shoot, and helped pull me and all my heavy gear up the stairs! A true snow dog!
FYI: Maya is half Malamute, half Wolf.
TIME FOR A CLOSE UP
HOW DO WE DO IT?

To achieve the highly frosted shine on my face, I drowned it in MAC’s Iridescent Powder (Loose), Silver Dusk. I also applied a lot of glitter & blue pigments to my eyes and lips, and brushed them around specific areas on my face. Aside from on my eyes, the glitter & pigment was applied on my forehead and bellow my lower lip.
The blue gloss on my lips is, Peacocky, a Kissable Lipcolor from the recent “Peacocky” Collection (Limited). To brighten it up, I put a white MAC glitter on top of it, that turns Teal when wet and when it catches certain light.
Feel free to ask me any questions on this look. I enjoyed creating it.
